Is love proof of God above?

Five loving atheist couples, where both partners are atheist activists, will match wits to decide the question once and for all. The couples on the panel include in no particular order JT Eberhard and Michaelyn Everhart (got her name right that time), Matt Dillahunty and Beth Presswood, Shayrah Akers and Daniel Moran, Adam and Amanda Brown, and last but certainly not the least adorable atheist couple Aron Ra and Lilandra(me).

How deep is your love? Because we’re living in a world of fools…

The show will start Newlywed Game style with our host David Fitzgerald. Couples will battle it out for a coveted TBD prize to show just how well couples know each other without a god to make their love magical! Hopefully David will be merciful with the questions about “whoopee”. An example question: What is your partner’s nickname for you? The partner will write it down, and wait for their partner’s answer to see if they got it correct. (My nickname for Aron was large mammal) So I will be studying Aron’s every move until the end of the week, and quizzing him on his likes and dislikes all, so we can defeat Beth/Matt and Michaelyn/JT.  They are tough competition, I know this from past Camp Quest competitions. Not as much data on the other 2 couples.

After the game, we will the talk about answering apologetics concerning love. We will kill that C.S. Lewis tired and oft referenced apologetic with fire.  Other discussion topics include the differences between Biblical relationships vs. secular relationships. Tune in to The Nones podcast this Sunday May 26th at 12:00 PM CST. It will livestream from youtube at www.youtube.com/user/th3n0nes.

  1. “God is love.”

IOW, the relationship between physical entities existed before any entities did.

  2. Hopefully David will be merciful with the questions about “whoopee”. An example question: What is your partner’s nickname for you?

Whoops, that question puts it right into the realm of whoopie, in my relationship. I don’t think either of us have any nicknames for each other that aren’t sexual in nature.

  3. There was an old game show called The Newlywed Game which operates almost exactly like this. The reference to “whoopee” reminds me of one if its greatest moments. The hosts asked the couples “where was the wildest place you made whoopee?” One of the (young) men answered “on the floor of a hotel room.” His wife said “I don’t remember that.”

The man replied “Oh, maybe that wasn’t you.”

It ended up being okay, because his reaction was definitely a “previous relationship oops” rather than an “oh shit I cheated” type.

  4. Awesome.

Still, one thing strikes me here… We need more diversity!

But I know you guys agree with that, and work to make it happen. 🙂

  5. I know. We were looking at couples where both people were atheist activists. I’d love a suggestion for a LGBTQ couple that has 2 atheist activist members. In this group though, there are pansexuals, and 4 of the 5 couples are polyamorous. So it isn’t your standard, stock traditional couples.

  6. Hello there, just became aware of your blog through Google, and found that it is really informative. I am gonna watch out for brussels. I’ll be grateful if you continue this in future. Lots of people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!

  7. Thanks for each of your efforts on this web page. Betty loves getting into research and it is simple to grasp why. Many of us know all regarding the dynamic mode you produce good suggestions by means of the web blog and even foster contribution from other individuals on this idea and my princess is in fact discovering a lot of things. Take advantage of the remaining portion of the year. You’re performing a fantastic job.
